How to Sell Norwex Online
Your ultimate guide to selling Norwex products online
If you’re already selling Norwex or thinking about becoming a Norwex consultant, we’ve got a list of proven ways to sell Norwex online you can use to create your consistent monthly sales plan.
One thing I love about direct sales is that it’s your business, and you can run your business however you’d like.
If you want to focus on selling Norwex 100% online, you can do that. If you’d like to focus on selling Norwex in person, you can. Or optimally, you’ll do some of both.
One great thing about selling Norwex online is that it opens your customer base to new customers across the country. It allows you to reach pockets of customers in different areas, so you’re not dependent on sales from only your local customers.
Combining selling Norwex in person with selling Norwex online is a great way to grow your business CONSISTENTLY and never run out of new customers.
In this way, your business is not fully dependent on home party bookings or controlled by the next social media algorithm change.
The list below is a list of proven strategies and ideas. If you are just starting to sell Norwex, I’d recommend starting in person (home parties and vendor events) and/or hosting online parties and setting up a VIP group.
Once you’ve got those going, you can implement this monthly online strategy:
- Send your tips, tricks, and how-tos (your personal newsletter) to your customers and downline every two weeks or once per month. Share these in your customer VIP group as well.
- Set up on-hand inventory and free samples Sales Pages, and announce these to your local customers, offering a way for them to purchase from you locally while offering free local pickup.
- Use Sales Pages to create events like Christmas in July and 12 days of Christmas sales to boost sales and earn trip credit.
- Host online parties on social media.
- Grow your customer VIP group on Facebook.
Important bonus:
No matter which strategies you implement, always, always, always follow up with your customers right after a sale. Doing this one thing alone can grow your business by 50% or more! If you don’t think you have time, automate it with Direct Sidekick drip campaigns.
One giant key in selling Norwex online is to make it fun. If your idea of “educating” your customers feels like being stuck in a school lecture for an hour, your sales are going to be low.
But, if you make it fun, interactive, and educational … now that’s when the sales roll in and customers ask about hosting their own party or about being a consultant.
With everything you do, share exactly what you’re doing with your team. When they see you working your business, and you’re providing them with creatives to use and showing them exactly how you run your business, ITS EXTREMELY MOTIVATING FOR THEM. If you’re struggling to get your team working their business, start here!
Let’s dive in and look at each of these options in depth, with some beginning steps of how you can start maximizing your opportunity to make an impact and earn an additional income with your Norwex business through online and virtual options.
Selling Norwex on Facebook
Selling Norwex online via Facebook is one of the most popular, versatile, and far-reaching methods to sell online. This method requires you to create a Facebook account if you don’t already have one.
To sell on Facebook, you should also create a Business Page. Here are some of the top ways to utilize Facebook for online sales with Norwex.
Facebook Private Groups
This is a great option for partying and customer care because it allows hosts and guests from anywhere in the country to participate. You can choose your level of privacy, which allows you to offer personal discounts and specials to your guests within the compliance rules.
Norwex does not allow consultants to offer our personal discounts to the public, so having a private Facebook VIP group is my go-to option.
You can customize your Facebook group with your own cover photo, title, description, membership questions, and even the order in which posts appear within the group. A favorite feature of utilizing Facebook groups is the ability to schedule posts in advance. Posts can contain images, videos, a combination of both, polls, and even live videos.
Some common ways Norwex consultants utilize Facebook groups include online parties, customer VIP groups (more on this next), mystery host parties, bingo, or other special events to engage with customers and have fun while offering rewards or prizes.
Facebook groups are one of the primary ways Norwex leaders cultivate community and training for their team.
Facebook VIP customer group
The purpose of your Facebook VIP group is to be able to continue to educate, connect with current and past customers, and highlight selling opportunities. Posting regularly in your Norwex VIP group and sharing your daily use of your favorite products will help your customers get to know you and build trust in you.
Facebook (all social media) is highly visual, so sharing pictures of yourself using products, product images, videos, and facts about how the products make cleaning easier helps get customers to use their products and wanting to try new ones.
A fun way to party in your VIP group is to have multiple hosts invite their guests into the group for a scheduled demo. Then you go live in the group and do a mini demo of a handful of products and share the current specials. Each host has their own shopping link that can be shared with the guests they invite, so the sales track to their party.
The added benefit of partying in your VIP group is that all your other group members and customers will get a refresher on the products and may then order!
Your Norwex VIP group is a great place to post about sales from Norwex and new products when they launch. Don’t forget to ask for sales and offer options sometimes. Your group is meant to be an income generator.
If you do vendor events, you can post about your upcoming events and let everyone know that they can come see you and the newest products at that event. You can even offer to take orders ahead of time and bring products for them to pick up at the event. Often, customers come to pick up the product at the event and then continue to shop your products on hand.
How do you get customers and prospects into your Norwex VIP group? Easy, offer a ballot at vendor events and ask prospects and customers right then, and there to join your group. Offer at every home and online party for hostess and guests to join your VIP group.
If you don’t have a VIP group yet, today is the day to create a private VIP group and start personally inviting your customers to join!
Facebook Events
Facebook also has an event feature that many consultants use in their business. Similar to a Facebook group, you can create an event and choose the level of privacy. It allows guests to RSVP going, maybe, or not going.
You can customize many features, including the title, cover photo, and description. The posts in the discussion section will automatically be sorted in order of being posted (meaning the newest post will always be at the top of the page).
An attractive feature of using events is that Facebook will automatically send reminder notifications to everyone you’ve invited. Events require posting in real-time and do not have a prescheduled option.
Facebook events are used most when pointing customers to one main event (for example, a live demo or class). Events are designed to lead up to one particular date and time.
The discussion area features more sharing of information/education rather than favoring community building (such as you’d find in Facebook VIP groups).
Norwex consultants use Facebook events for online parties, “hacks classes”, and other special events for customers or team members.
Selling Norwex with Facebook Messenger Parties
Messenger Parties or Events are a time-saving and simplified way of hosting events online. How a consultant conducts an event is flexible. However, most who’ve found success with these parties run messenger events with 2-3 messages each day for 2-3 days.
The messages can have a link to an online landing page with more info, YouTube videos of demos, or a series of photos to scroll through. These events are quick and easy to run, simple for hosts to invite guests, and can generate a great sales return.
Either the host or you simply creates a group chat with the guests added. It is essential that only those who have given consent be added. Consultants have found the most success if, at the start of the event, some ground rules are shared to be considerate of all the guests.
Facebook Business Page
Creating a Facebook business page is another easy way to maximize your online presence for your Norwex business. This serves as your virtual storefront. It provides an easy point of contact for your customers and team members to find you.
A business page can be added to any of your groups or events, and you can even post as your business. Facebook business pages unlock further business resources available through the Meta Business Suite. Some of these features include a planner, appointments, and insights.
Norwex consultants often use their business page as a landing page to host uploaded video demos. These videos can then be shared and linked to from within a group or event rather than uploading or sharing an off-platform link (i.e., YouTube, Vimeo).
Facebook Stories
Facebook Stories are quick little posts or videos that give a snapshot of your day. They appear for 24 hours. Viewers can click on the preview and tap through to see the information you shared. This feature is great for inviting customers into your daily life and routine to build the “know, like, and trust” factor.
Facebook Stories are an easy way to share limited-time sales or specials offered by Norwex’s home office (reminder: personal sales offered outside of corporate offers cannot be featured, as this would violate compliance rules).
Facebook Stories include features such as adding music, polls, a link for viewers to respond to a question or ask you a question, and the ability to share a link (such as a shopping link, Facebook VIP group link, etc).
Selling Norwex on Instagram
Instagram is another great way to expand your network and make an impact as a Norwex consultant. You can link your Instagram account with your Facebook account to cross-post content on your feed and/or stories.
Instagram favors carousel posts. Carousel posts consist of a series of images to swipe through with one caption.
In addition to carousel posts, Instagram also heavily favors Reels (this is a post that features a short video with a caption).
Instagram can expand your network and help people find you by using hashtags on a particular topic or niche (i.e., #nontoxiccleaning). Others can comment on your posts, reels, and stories and send you direct messages. Some consultants have successfully hosted parties on Instagram through the messaging feature or through a private party-only account for guests to follow and see the information.
Selling Norwex with Text Events
Text Events are another quick and convenient option for hosting events with your Norwex business. These are very similar to Messenger Parties; however, they will utilize text messages rather than being run through Facebook.
It is key to be upfront with the host and guests about how many days the party will run and how many texts they will receive per day. This helps everyone know what to expect, as texting can feel more personal and urgent than a Facebook message or email.
Selling Norwex with Scrolling Link Parties
The modern-day form of a catalog party is a scrolling link! There are several options for how to offer this convenient format. One link is shared with your guests or customers so they can scroll through or click through on their own time.
All the information, pics, and videos are presented along with checkout links at the end. Essentially, this is all the information of a short Norwex demo on one page. You include short demo videos showing how to use the products, text explaining the specials available and package discounts, and clear instructions on how your customers can place their orders.
This format works best when a consultant sets a firm ordering deadline along with a follow-up to ensure guests remember to get their orders placed before closing the party.
The most common platforms a consultant uses for a scrolling link are Boards (app-based), Canva (generates a web link and page), or Google Sites.
Selling Norwex with Email Marketing
Another excellent option for selling Norwex online is an oldie but a goodie – email marketing!
Many consultants send their newsletter every other week or once per month. Your newsletter should feature cleaning tips, monthly specials, and more. It should not be a constant sale or pitch to buy products. It should include real stories, tips, and how-tos, and then an offer of the product or products you talk about.
Constantly selling to your newsletter without real stories and genuine value is the fastest way to have your customer unsubscribe. Think about the emails you receive. Which emails do you open and read (you get real value), and which ones do you unsubscribe to (always a sale, buy, buy, buy)? Write emails that you would open and read.
You can use email marketing to offer prospective customers free samples, let them know about upcoming vendor events you’ll be attending (ask if they need anything so you can have it on hand), teach them new ways to use products, announce new offers, and even share party content via email.
Selling Norwex Inventory with Sales Pages
Norwex is a very generous company for earning free or discounted products. Stocking up on products you sell a lot of when the company runs flash sales and hosting your own parties are great ways to earn more from your sales.
Sales Pages are easy to set up, and you can use them to sell your on-hand inventory, collect bulk orders, or run your own promotions not offered by Norwex corporate.
You can share them in your social media business page profiles, your Facebook VIP group, in your email signature, and in your monthly newsletter.
They can be used to run your one-off sales, such as Christmas in July and 12 days of Christmas, offering your customers a convenient way to shop. They receive a professional-looking invoice, and you can incentivize for larger orders by offering quantity discounts and cart discounts (“Get $10 off for orders over $100” for example).
Another great idea is to offer free samples with a Sales Page. All you do is set up a new Sales Page, select to only add samples to the Sales Page, add text in the description about the process, and if you’re limiting each customer to a certain number (“select up to 3 free samples below”), and send it out. This is great to send to new customers and contacts gathered from vendor events to get them to try your consumables.
With Direct Sidekick, you can have an unlimited number of sales pages, so you can have one for your on-hand inventory and for customers to request samples all the time. Then you can add special sales pages when you’d like to run special promotions with ordering deadlines (including countdown timers).
Wrapping it up
Selling Norwex online is a great way to grow your business without hosting in-person parties for days every week. Although home parties have a very big place in your business, selling online adds another level to it.
To help you build a consistent Norwex business, you’ll want to figure out your plan for incorporating in-person and online sales into your monthly calendar.
Just remember to prioritize the things that are generating sales and fit your schedule. Don’t try to do everything! That is the quickest way to burn out.
